Laura and Ivan got married on a warm and sunny day in Islington town hall.
It was the 2nd wedding I had photographed in the Mayor’s Parlour, an intimate room with beautiful dark decor. This time the daylight was strong enough to capture the real atmosphere in the room, without having to use much flash.
It never stops being moving when a couple in love say their vows. I think everyone in the room felt the same.
The registrar in Islington was absolutely lovely, you could feel she is part of the ceremony and not an outsider doing her job. What an amazing job she has!
After the ceremony we all took a stroll down Upper Street to Frederick’s, for the reception. On the way we took some portraits in the garden behind St. Mary’s church, some casual photos walking and some more couple portraits in the picturesque Camden passage.
